We thank you for your thoughtfulness in participating in this day's event.  We thank you for your generous donations and support.  In two years, we have raised almost $40K for CHARGE Syndrome.  The families affected by this syndrome need our continued support.  They need to know that someone out there is thinking of them and helping them on this often times horrible, roller coaster ride of emotions and financial strain.

Because our son, Tyler James Matthew, is amazing.  Because of him we are able to put our grief aside for a moment and work to help his peers.

You helped a child today.  You helped a family today.

This event is dedicated to the loving memory of Tyler James Matthew (2004-2006) Beloved son, grandchild, nephew…our “Silent Soldier".

"Silent Soldiers"
God’s Silent Soldiers are all around, every county, state, city and town.  Sometimes a familiar face and sometimes from a far away place.  He need not know that he will connect with you in a special way.  Simply by doing what he does best, silently fight for his life.

A silent soldier he did not set out to be, but through necessity, God enlisted he.  Some are drafted when they are young, before they become fluent in their native tongue.  But why do they suffer this way we say?  To bring others a truth that only they can deliver in their own special way.  There is no life without purpose, no human being too small, to serve in God’s silent army, for they all answer the call.  So the silent soldiers suffer, for one and for all, so that we will turn our attention to the Wailing Wall.

The suffering of another, through circumstance or disease, is too often the event, which brings us to our knees.  In reverent veneration those touched by a silent soldier’s situation turn to prayer, seeking assurance that a loving God is still there.

The Antietam National Battlefield is the place to be on August 3rd, 2013!  Come join us on a warm summer morning to help support a wonderful cause:  CHARGE Syndrome Foundation!
